Certain traffic violations and criminal offenses
can be waived – that is you can admit guilt and pay your fines and costs
without having to come to court.Other
violations require a court
appearance under the law.Below you will
find a list of the mandatory appearances as well as those that are waiverable.
In order to pay a citation by waiver, you must meet
the following requirements:
1.Have no more than one prior moving violation within the past 12 months.
2.Have one of the waiverable offenses listed below.
3.You must have a validOhio or out of state operator’s or
chauffeur’s license.
4.On a violation in which an accidentoccurred, you
must show valid proof of insurance and there
must have been no injuries in the
accident.
5.Read the ticket carefully.Sign your name on the back of the citation
and submit the citation with full payment eitherin
person or by mail on or before your assigned court date.

MUST BRING PROOF TO COURT.DO NOT BRING

INSURANCE CARD WITH EFFECTIVE DATES FOR THE CAR LISTED ON THE CITATION, OR A
COPY OF YOUR INSURANCE POLICY.
