A municipal
court has many departments, some of which you may come into contact with while
using the Court’s services.
The Clerk of Courts is responsible for overseeing the general operation of the
Court. The Clerk’s Office is broken down into several divisions, each with a
specific function within the Court. Most people come into contact with one of
these departments: Civil division; Criminal Division; or the Traffic Division.
These divisions are staffed by deputy clerks.
Additionally, the Court is supported by the Assignment Department, a Bailiff’s
Department; Magistrates and a Probation Department.
While any of the various departments should be able to point you in the right
direction if you have need of assistance, this section is designed to help you
locate the best starting point for any inquiry.
